TE Mike O’Laughlin Signs LOI

Published

on

The tight end position is a position that is seldom used in a Dana Holgorsen offense, but could that be because he hasn’t had the talent there? This will be an interesting situation with signee Mike O’Laughlin (Oak Park, IL). He is a hybrid guy that could play both receiver and tight end and I am curious to see where he is going to end up at.

O’Laughlin tells me,” I came to West Virginia to play for the amazing WVU fanbase, Big 12 championships and for national titles.” So, wherever he lines up, he’s sure to be an exciting player to watch.

Mike seems like a very focused kid and will be a pleasant surprise in this offense and could develop into another red zone threat with his 6’5”, 230-pound frame.

O’Laughlin chose the Mountaineers over Ohio State, Ball State, Central Michigan, Cincinnati and Western Michigan. He will be enrolling in June.
