WR Sam James Signs LOI

Published

on

Sam James – considered the greatest offensive threat in this recruiting class- has signed with the Mountaineers. After all the film I’ve watched and evaluated, he is by far the most electric player in this class. He can make a you pay and gash you for big gains deep down the field. The Mountaineers receiving corps next year will be one of the fastest that receivers coach Tyron Carrier has had since he’s been in Morgantown and adding a talent like James only adds to that speed.

When I asked Sam if he felt he would be the fastest player in that group next year he responded by saying, “I mean, I’m not trying to sound cocky or nothing, but I am pretty confident that I am.With my class, we are bringing in some talented players and the guys we are bringing back and having Will Grier back we are going to be pretty special.”

James told us on the Between the Eers podcast that he has established a great relationship with Coach Belk. “I feel like I can talk to them about literally anything. I’ve been talking to them for over a year and I feel very comfortable with them,” James told us.

Mark my words, James will be the offensive gem in this class and could be something special. He should see some playing time early as a young true freshman.

James chose West Virginia over Cincinnati, Clemson, Georgia, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State and Central Florida. He will be enrolling in June.
