West Virginia baseball finished off its regular-season schedule Saturday afternoon with a 12-2 road loss to Texas. The Longhorns scored three runs in the second inning, four in the third and two in the fourth en route to the eight-inning victory.

WVU starter Adam Tulloch (0-4) lasted just one inning, allowing three earned runs and walking four batters. The Mountaineers’ offense came on a first-inning sacrifice fly by Paul McIntosh and a seventh-inning solo home run by Alec Burns. For Texas, left fielder Eric Kennedy finished three for four with a triple, home run, four RBI and three runs scored.

WVU (23-25, 8-16 Big 12) will play in the first game of the Big 12 Tournament on Tuesday as Texas (40-13, 17-7) earned a share of the Big 12 regular-season championship with TCU.
