Top 2027 LB Broncs Baker Pledges Commitment to WVU Football

Following a successful courtship for both sides, 2027 linebacker Broncs Baker kicks off the weekend by committing to the WVU football program.

Baker posted an announcement on social media on Friday, expressing excitement and gratitude.

“Grateful for the opportunity to be recruited by so many teams that believed in me. Each one felt like a great fit, which made this decision especially tough. After much prayer & reflection, I will be committing to West Virginia. JESUS-IS-KING! Take me home,” said Baker. 

Scheduled to take an official visit from June 5-7, Baker, listed at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, had consistently included West Virginia among his top schools.

Ranked as the No. 8 prospect in Utah by 247 Sports, Baker currently attends Stansbury High School in Tooele, Utah. He’s also considered the No. 28 linebacker in the country for his class and a top 400 player overall.

He picked WVU over Boise State, Michigan, Oregon State, Virginia Tech and Washington State.
