Trending 2023 PF Amani Hansberry Picks Up Offer From WVU

West Virginia has extended an offer to 2023 PF Amani Hansberry on Tuesday afternoon. Hansberry is a trending prospect from Baltimore, Md.

Hansberry announced his offer from WVU’s coaching staff on social media.

“Blessed and honored to receive an offer from West Virginia,” Hansberry wrote on Twitter.

The past few days have been crazy for the trending Hansberry. The 3-star prospect was featured on social media on Monday night after scoring the game-winner during the Peach Jam for Team Durant. Hansberry finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds against JL3.

Hansberry (6-foot-8, 225 pounds) recently completed his junior season at Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore. Hansberry averaged 15.8 points and 8.6 rebounds last summer during the AAU circuit.

The recent WVU prospect has received offers from Auburn, Oregon and Xavier over the past couple of days. Hansberry has previously received offers from Boston College, DePaul, Howard, Illinois, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Mississippi State, NC State, Oklahoma State, Pitt, Penn State, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

West Virginia’s coaching staff has been at work offering many high school players around the country. Cooper Flagg, Jeremiah Green and Jaeden Mustaf are just a few to name as they’re each top-50 players in their respective classes.

Player Evaluation: Hansberry plays like a traditional power forward but shows a modern touch to his game. Hansberry uses his 6-foot-8, 225 pound build to his advantage, bullying his way into the paint for shots and rebounds. The rising senior possess a smooth touch to his game and can shoot consistently from mid-range.
