WVU Football RB Tye Edwards after scoring touchdown against Pitt

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU went up by two scores in the 108th Backyard Brawl when redshirt senior running back scored a one-yard touchdown run after a 56-yard reception by redshirt senior wide receiver Justin Smith-Brown.

The touchdown was Edwards’ second rushing score of the game. It gave him 99 yards on 14 carries for two touchdowns.

Smith-Brown’s reception was his first of the game.

Freshman quarterback Scotty Fox Jr. has been under center to start the second half. Redshirt junior quarterback Nicco Marchiol finished the first half 9-12 passing for 76 yards.
