Watch: Big Sack for WVU Football Commit in Win for District Title
A WVU football commit made a monster play in his team’s win Thursday night. Edge rusher Romando Johnson had a big sack in Monarch High School’s victory over previously unbeaten Piper.
The win handed Monarch their third consecutive District 13-6 title in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, Johnson is a consensus three-star prospect via ESPN, Rivals, On3 Sports and 247 Sports. Johnson’s best ranking comes from 247 Sports, placing him as the No. 65 player in Florida.
Johnson announced his commitment to WVU on June 10, picking West Virginia over 30 other offers from major programs like Florida, Louisville, Miami (FL), Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee, USF and Wisconsin.
Johnson received an offer from West Virginia on Jan. 23.
