Watch: Celtics HC Joe Mazzulla Responds in Very Bob Huggins Manner to Reporter
Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla is taking a page right of the book of his mentor.
Mazzulla delivered a very Bob Huggins like reaction to a question while speaking to the media after his team’s 35-point win on Monday night. “I don’t have great vibes after a big win like this,” Mazzulla made sure to clarify to the reported when led with a “how do you explain these great vibes after a big win?” type question in reference to getting the team from scandal to the best record in the NBA.

The 17-4 Celtics own an .810 win percentage and the sit at the top of the league despite Mazzulla taking over as a result of turmoil caused by the suspending of Ime Udoka, the head coach who led the Celtics to the NBA Finals just a season ago.
Mazzulla, who was promoted from an assistant to interim head coach of one of the NBA’s most prominent franchises despite not having major college or pro experience, is clearly harkening back to what he learned from a Basketball Hall of Famer like Huggins during his time as a player for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Huggins offered his thoughts on his former player becoming the leader of the historic Celtics when the news first broke in September.
