Watch: Grant Hussey Home Run Adds to WVU Lead

Grant Hussey broke out of an early-season slump with his first home run of 2025 in WVU baseball’s 2025 home opener against Ohio Wednesday afternoon.

Hussey, who was 2-22 entering Wednesday’s game, started the day with a single in the second inning and then added an opposite-field home run in the bottom of the sixth. Hussey’s homer, the 38th of his WVU career, added to the Mountaineers’ lead, putting them up 6-3 over the Bobcats.

Hussey is the Mountaineers’ all-time leader in home runs.
