Pat McAfee has been pretty open about the longstanding grudge he’s holding against Troy Polamalu, but now we know even more about what happened.

The former WVU kicker turned NFL punter had a chance to do something kickers can only dream of – score a touchdown. Add on doing that in front of your family and friends back in your home city and McAfee could’ve enjoyed a moment that would’ve been a career highlight to cherish forever.

Polamalu had other ideas. But what tipped off the Pro Football Hall of Famer to know a fake was coming (and even line up out of position) to be able to crush Mcfee’s hopes and dreams?

The question was directly asked to Polamalu while he was appearing on the All Thing Covered podcast with his former Steelers teammate Bryant McFadden and his cousin Patrick Peterson. “I saw him too excited on the sidelines,” said Polamalu with a big smile.

This caused everyone to appreciate the legend of Polamalu even more and veteran move to watch how opposing players handle themselves before plays.

Pat McAfee found a clip of this exchange on Twitter and offered an absolutely perfect reaction, seemingly only intensifying his destain for losing out on scoring a touchdown in Pittsburgh against the Steelers.
