WVU Football Center Zach Frazier

Zach Frazier is no stranger to receiving high praise, but now a big name around NFL scouting circles is joining in with a bold prediction for the WVU center.

Jim Nagy, who serves as the Executive Director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl and has 18 years worth of experience as an NFL scout, tweeted some compliments of Frazier’s game and what he’s heard from others Monday morning.

“When we visited Morgantown last fall, WVU football staffers couldn’t say enough good things about All-Big 12 C Zach Frazier. And now that we’ve watched tape, it’s easy to see why,” said Nagy about his team’s assessment of Frazier.

He continued. “Frazier, who has started 34-of-35 career games, including 25 straight at center, was 4x HS state wrestling champ and he’s type of consistent & dependable OL that grows on you the more you watch him,” said Nagy.

“Based off his football smarts and how people talk about him, it’s easy to predict that o-line coaches around NFL are going to be pounding the table for Zach Frazier next April.”

Nagy is widely known as someone who takes his time and does his homework before offering an evaluation of a player, especially an NFL prospect. That means what he’s saying about Frazier will carry some weight when he experiences the draft process next year.

WVU Football’s Top 2024 NFL Draft Prospects

The Mountaineers will enjoy one more season with Frazier leading the offensive line before the Fairmont, West Virginia native undoubtedly turns pro. At the very least, it’s probably safe to say an invitation to the 2024 Senior Bowl will be coming for Frazier.
