The majority of the 2019 recruiting class has been set, but before moving full focus to the 2020 class, Neal Brown and his staff are still looking to fill the last few spots for this years recruiting cycle.

Last week, the Mountaineers offered JUCO wide receiver Darren Wilson (6’3″ 200 lbs) of Butler C.C. in Kansas. The Kansas junior colleges will be recruited mainly by linebackers coach Blake Seiler, who spent his last coaching stint at Kansas State before coming to Morgantown.

Wilson gave his thoughts on the West Virginia offer, “Really excited about it! I can’t wait to go up on a visit and see the campus and facilities.” he said. “I think it’s a good fit for me and the way that the conference uses its receivers, plus it’s always been a dream of mine since I was five years old to play Power Five football. It’s a blessing and a dream come true.” he added.

Wilson and coach Seiler are working out a date for him to visit campus the weekend of May 25th. He also informed DubVNation that West Virginia, Iowa State and UAB are his top schools at the moment, in no particular order and will look to make a decision sometime in June.

Stay tuned to DubVNation for the latest on Wilson’s recruitment.
