West Virginia OL Product Nick Malone Declares for NFL Draft
Nick Malone decided to stay home and play for WVU after graduating from Morgantown High School, but it’s now time for him to try to take his talents to the next level. On Thursday, Malone formally declared for the NFL Draft.
Malone added “trust the process” as the caption to his message on social media with his announcement.
After earning All-State honors as a senior, Malone was a redshirt for West Virginia in 2019 and then played in a couple games during the shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Malone then started seeing significant time in 2021, playing in all 12 games in 2022 and 13 with four starts in 2023. Malone then became one of WVU’s top offensive lineman and a leader of the unit during his final season in 2024.
Malone joins West Virginia teammates Garrett Greene, who is making the switch from quarterback to wide receiver, offensive line Ja’Quay Hubbard, safety Anthony Wilson, defensive back Garnett Hollis.
