**Today, West Virginia extends an offer to an in-state product as 2024 athlete Jerrae Hawkins, Jr. picks up an offer from the Mountaineers. This becomes Hawkins second D-1 offer, with the other one coming from Pitt. Hawkins is from Wheeling, West Virginia.

**2023 safety Collin Dunn (6’1″, 190) from Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama receives an offer from West Virginia. Dunn also holds offers from Kansas State, Maryland, Toledo and Troy.
Update (6:55 PM)-
**The West Virginia staff extends their second offer of the day as the latest one goes to Thomas Jefferson High School 2023 defensive end Jordan Mayer. The Western Pennsylvania recruit was visiting on Junior Day and also holds Power Five offers from Duke and Boston College.

**While on an unofficial visit, West Virginia football extends an offer to 2023 wide receiver Chris Lawson, Jr. from Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Lawson (6’1″, 165) also holds offers from Pitt, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, NC State, Louisville, Florida International and Charlotte.

**West Virginia football will be getting a visit today from 2023 4-star Mason Robinson from Owings Mills, Maryland. Robinson is ranked as one of the Top 20 defensive ends in the country with offers from West Virginia, Georgia, Boston College, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina, Stanford, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

**On the first day of open recruiting, WVU assistant ShaDon Brown spent some time recruiting at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington, Kentucky.

**West Virginia football will be getting a visit today from 2023 3-star safety Kahlil Ali from Pennsauken, New Jersey. Ali (6’1″, 185) made a visit on Friday to Pitt. Along with from West Virginia, Ali holds offers from Boston College, Florida State, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia.
