The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia University Athletics.
Update (11:20 PM) –
WVU Baseball opened their weekend with a come from behind 7-6 win over No. 17 UCF. The Mountaineers took a 2-0 lead in the second thanks to an RBI single from Aaron Jamison and a signature Mazeyball double steal, but the Knights rebounded to score the next five runs.
Kyle West hit a two-run homer to close the gap to 5-4, then tied the game with a two-run triple in the seventh after the Knights tacked on another run. West then gave West Virginia the lead thanks to an infield error with two outs, and David Hagaman struck out five batters over two innings for the save.
