WVU Athletics Reveals ‘MAC Field Lounge’ Space for Donors During Football Season

WVU Athletics is trying to make its most loyal supporters as comfortable as possible while watching the Mountaineers in person.

On Tuesday, just days before the start of a new football season, the Mountaineer Athletic Club announced that they will be launching what’s being called the “MAC Field Lounge” this fall. This lounge will act as a living room type area where donors can relax like they are at home while enjoy the action in person.

The MAC posted an image of what this will look like on social media, showing a gated space full of couches and tables in the south corner of the end zone.

The caption of the post read: “WVU Athletics is excited to launch the MAC Field Lounge this football season! The MAC Field Lounge will be in the Southeast area of the South end zone providing donors a hospitality space on field level.”

This is just another way for the school to show appreciation to its donors, especially those helping to provide financial assistance to the football program.

In a related story, the Country Roads Trust NIL collective has created a special beer intended to serve West Virginia fans. The “Trust Lager” beer will be available at Milan Puskar Stadium during home games. It’s currently in selected grocery stores across the state.
