Saturday night is alright for recruiting, too as Neal Brown and the Mountaineers picked up a commitment from Saint McLeod, a Philadelphia defensive back from Pennsylvania power Imhotep Charter.

Saint McLeod, a 5-foot-11, 197-pound safety and consensus 3-star recruit, held offers from Iowa State, Pitt, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Kentucky among others. Ranked as the 55th best safety in the nation, the 23rd rated Pennsylvania recruit was teammates of current WVU star Tykee Smith at Imhotep Charter as a freshman.

Last season for Imhotep, McLeod racked up 64 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions while also playing extensively on the offensive side of the ball as a running back.

McLeod is the first defensive player in West Virginia’s 2021 class joining Swedish tight end Viktor Wikstrom and Masillion (OH) wide receiver Andrew Wilson-Lamp.
