WVU Football Earns Commitment From 2027 Ohio LB

On Thursday afternoon, the WVU football program earned a commitment from a 2027 linebacker.

Ohio product Mason Cerovac, listed at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds out of Olmsted Falls High School, posted a long message to announce his decision on X (formerly Twitter).

“I am very blessed and excited to announce my commitment to West Virginia University!!

First and foremost, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would not be the person I am today without Him!

Next, I want to say thank you to my family for everything they have done for me. I also want to thank Coach Deluca and all my coaches who have coached me and helped me get here. Thank you to all of my friends and teammates who have kept me grounded and motivated to work hard every day!

I want to thank all of the coaches who believed in me throughout the recruiting process. Thank you Coach Rodriguez and the WVU staff for giving me this opportunity! Go Mountaineers!!,” he wrote.

Cerovac’s commitment comes after spending time in Morgantown for spring practice.

He picked the Mountaineers over offers from Buffalo, Central Michigan, Kent State, Miami (OH), Ohio, Toledo, UMass and several others.
