WVU Football Looking at Well Regarded 2027 Georgia TE

As Rich Rodriguez looks to utilize the tight end position more in his offense, the WVU football program sent a recent offer to a Georgia prospect.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, Olefami “Joey” Hunter closed March by announcing his West Virginia offer on social media.

The Grayson High School product is considered a three-star recruit and among the top 100 players out of the talent rich Georgia in his class.

WVU now joins Hunter’s long offer list that includes Power Four schools like Boston College, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Pitt. He also has offers from Charlotte, Colorado State, FAU, FIU, Georgia State, Memphis, Miami (OH), UNLV, Western Kentucky and several others.

Hunter even took a trip to Tennessee to check out spring practice on March 31.
