WVU Football Scores Big Commitment from Louisville Transfer DB
As transfer players continue to make their decisions, the WVU football staff lands a big addition to close the weekend.
Louisville transfer defensive back Josh Minkins Jr. is now committed to become a Mountaineer. Minkins ends up picking West Virginia over offers from Cincinnati, Georgia Tech and Tulsa.

He brings a level of experience and production to the WVU secondary, a group that has lost depth due to transfers in recent weeks.
Minkins was an impact player for Louisville in the ACC in 2023. He recorded 55 total tackles, three pass breakups, one sack, one interception, and a forced fumble. This was despite missing time with an injury. He has one year left of eligibility.
You can find Richardson and other transfer players listed on our partner the Portal Report’s database.
