WVU Football Travels to See Highly Regarded 2027 4-Star LB

In an effort to continue their push to land a four-star linebacker, a member of the WVU football staff flew across the country to spend time with him.

ESPN 300 prospect Tate Wallace posted about West Virginia linebackers coach Andrew Warwick traveling to Iowa City to watch his basketball game.

“Thank you Coach (Andrew) Warwick for coming to watch my game tonight! Looking forward to visiting Morgantown soon!!,” said Wallace, hinting about his future trip to Morgantown.

Wallace, listed at 6-foot-2 and 226 pounds, is a multi-sport athlete out of Iowa’s Regina High School. He’s considered one of the top players from Iowa in the 2027 class, being ranked as a four-star and the No. 3 player in the state by 247 Sports.

Wallace, who is also being recruited by Kansas State, Minnesota, Purdue and Tennessee along with several others, took take part in the Navy All-American Bowl earlier in the month.
