PORTLAND — During the first half of the West Virginia-Portland State game, WVU G Erik Stevenson was helped to the locker room after landing awkwardly on his left foot. Stevenson was helped up and put no weight on his left leg.

*Update: Stevenson has returned to the bench with 10 minutes to go in the first half.

On Thursday night, Stevenson landed awkwardly after attempting a contested layup against Purdue. The fifth-year senior limped on one foot down the court to get back on defense before falling down. Stevenson later returned to the game after being treated and finished with a team-high of 17 points.

After the Purdue game, WVU head coach Bob Huggins said that Stevenson sprained his foot but ‘it’s not a big deal.’
