WVU Looks to Hire Marquel Blackwell as Running Backs Coach
West Virginia looks to hire Toledo running back coach Marquel Blackwell.
Blackwell is being brought in to replace former Mountaineer running backs coach Tony Dews that was hired by the Tennessee Titans.
Marquel was the quarterbacks coach at South Florida from 2009-2011. The running backs coach at West Kentucky in 2012. Assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Lakewood High School in St. Peterburg, Florida in 2014. Was a quality control coach at Florida in 2015.
Blackwell spent his playing days at South Florida as a quarterback from 1999-2003.
When it comes to recruiting, he has Tampa and central Florida connections.
