The Towson game will tipoff the season and be the sixth all-time meeting between the schools. Towson finished last season with a 20-11 record and an 11-7 mark in the Coastal Athletic Conference. The Tigers finished last season inside the top 175 of the net rankings. WVU will hope to remain perfect and move to 6-0 against Towson.
The two Backyard Brawl rails will square off for the second straight year the following week. WVU holds a 29-19 advantage in the series, including a 14-7 mark inside the WVU Coliseum and are winners of six straight.
Mark Kellogg will then lead West Virginia against Texas A&M for just the third matchup between the two programs. It will be the Aggies’ first-ever appearance in Morgantown. The two last played in 2017 when the Mountaineers defeated No. 18 Texas A&M in a 70-56 road win.
