The West Virginia University women’s basketball team will not play at Kansas on Saturday, the Big 12 announced Friday, but the Mountaineers will have a game this weekend..

The Jayhawks do not meet roster thresholds established by the conference, so KU’s games Saturday against WVU and next Wednesday against Iowa State have been postponed indefinitely. West Virginia will now travel to take on Oklahoma on Sunday in a game moved from its originally scheduled date of Jan. 16. The Mountaineers and Sooners are set to tip at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

The postponement of Saturday’s game against Kansas is the second postponement announcement for the Mountaineers in recent days. WVU’s scheduled game against Kansas State on Jan. 5 was previously postponed when K-State paused all team activities earlier this week.

West Virginia is currently 6-2, with both losses coming in the Mountaineers’ first two Big 12 games.
