WVU’s Doege, Brown, Stills Named to Award Watch Lists
West Virginia seniors Jarret Doege, Leddie Brown and Dante Stills were named to award preseason watch lists Monday morning.
Doege, a quarterback, and Brown, a running back, were named to the Maxwell Award watch list and Stills, a defensive lineman was named to the Bednarik Award watch list.

Doege, a redshirt-senior, was solid last season, starting all 10 games for WVU and throwing for 2,587 yards and 14 touchdowns with only four interceptions. He had a mid-season stretch of 223 consecutive pass attempts without being intercepted.
The second-leading rusher in the Big 12, Brown was named to the All-Big 12 First Team following the season. He ran for 1,010 yards and nine touchdowns and added 202 yards and two more scores through the air.

In his third season as a full-time starter, Stills recorded a career-high 35 tackles with 10.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 10 games in 2020. He was named aΒ Big 12 honorable mention following the season.
