After being picked to finish sixth in the Big 12 earlier this month, perhaps it comes as no surprise West Virginia’s odds to win the Big 12 are sixth-best in the conference.

According to SuperBook Sports, WVU has 30/1 odds to win the conference this season, ranking behind Oklahoma, Iowa State, Texas, TCU and Oklahoma State.

With an offense expected to make a leap with senior quarterback Jarret Doege and senior running back Leddie Brown returning and a defense that ranked as the best in the conference last season, WVU’s 30/1 odds bode well for a team with dark horse chances to make a run at the upper echelon of Big 12 teams this season.

Oklahoma, last season’s Big 12 champion, has the best odds to win the conference, with 4/5 odds. As a heavy favorite to win the division, Oklahoma’s odds reflect accordingly. Iowa State (12/5 odds), Texas (10/1 odds) TCU (14/1 odds) and Oklahoma State (25/1 odds) round out the top five teams in the conference.

The trio of Baylor, Kansas State and Texas Tech each have 80/1 odds to win the conference while Kansas’s 2,000/1 odds bring up the rear.
