West Virginia’s staff has reached out to Providence’s Jared Bynum and UNLV’s Keshon Gilbert, per source. Bynum and Gilbert both recently entered the transfer portal and are highly-touted guards.

Bynum (5-foot-10) entered the transfer portal on Monday after head coach Ed Cooley took the job at Georgetown. Bynum spent three seasons with the Friars, appearing in two NCAA Tournaments. Bynum, a native of Maryland, averaged 10.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Bynum tends to shoot the three ball quite often, attempting over 100 three’s in three separate seasons. Bynum has one year of eligibility left.

Gilbert (6-foot-4) was one of the best breakout players in the Mountain West Conference this past season, increasing his stats tremendously. Gilbert averaged 11.4 points, an 9-point jump. Gilbert shot 46 percent from the field and 38 percent from three. The Las Vegas native has two years of eligibility remaining.
