2022 3-Star Safety Steven Sannienola Puts WVU In His Top Three

The Fourth of July has proven to be big recruiting day for Neal Brown’s program.

First, the Mountaineers landed a commitment from 2022 4-star cornerback Jacolby Spells followed by making the top five of 2022 4-star running back Ramon Brown and now another player makes West Virginia one of his favorites.

2022 3-star safety Steven Sannienola (Gaithersburg, Maryland) released a top three on Sunday night that included West Virginia, Vanderbilt and Purdue. Other offers for Sannienola include from Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Pitt, Virginia, Toledo and Liberty.

Sannienola (6’2″, 180) made three official visits- Vanderbilt on June 4, West Virginia on June 11 and Purdue on June 25.

Mountaineers safeties coach Dontae Wright has been the lead recruiter for this talented, versatile safety.

Included his his tweet, Sannienola also says that a “commitment coming soon.”

West Virginia currently has 11 commitments in their Class of 2022, which is currently ranked No. 38 by Rivals and No. 40 by 247 Sports. Two of those eleven commitments are defensive backs- Mumu Bin-Wahad and Tyrin Woodby.
