Defensive back Mumu Bin-Wahad has become the latest 2022 recruit to commit to West Virginia, announcing his decision on social media Wednesday evening.

Bin-Wahad (6-foot, 180 pounds) is the second defensive player to commit in WVU’s 2022 class. He is from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia and is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals. Bin-Wahad picked WVU over Arizona State, TCU, Mississippi State, Michigan State, Nebraska, South Carolina, UCF, Penn State and Georgia State.

He made an official visit to WVU two weekends ago and canceled an upcoming visit to Michigan before announcing his commitment Tuesday.

Bin-Wahad joins defensive back Tyrin Woodbey as the only defensive players in WVU’s 2022 class so far. Bin-Wahad is the seventh overall 2022 commit for WVU, joining Woodby, offensive linemen Sully Weidman, Charlie Katarincic and Maurice Hamilton, receiver Jarel Williams and tight end Corbin Page.
