On Saturday night, 2023 DL Corey McIntyre Jr. announced his decision to commit to West Virginia. McIntyre made the decision official on his social media accounts.

“I’m home #committed,” McIntyre wrote on Twitter.

McIntyre (6-foot-4, 280 pounds) visited West Virginia on Thursday, as well as a long list of recruits did this past week. The Port Saint Lucie, FL, native received offers from Coastal Carolina, Florida International, Indiana, Liberty, Mississippi State, NC State, Pitt, South Florida and Washington State.

West Virginia has secured their fourth commitment of the day for the class of 2023. McIntyre joins ATH Noah Braham, LB Ben Cutter and WR Tory Johnson Jr.

McIntyre is a three-star defensive lineman on all major recruiting services and he bumps the class up to 16 players. The class is now ranked No. 14 on rivals and 247Sports, but that is mainly due to the high volume of recruits as only four teams (Cincinnati, Northwestern, Minnesota, Texas Tech) more commits at this stage.

The team could be adding a fifth today as well with 2023 ATH Tawfiq Byard announcing his commitment at 7 p.m. on Saturday night. Byard is deciding between Connecticut, Louisville, Ole Miss, South Florida and West Virginia.
