WVU football recruit and class of 2024 cornerback Lloyd Irvin III has an official visit with the West Virginia program on the books. Irvin is scheduled to be in Morgantown June 2-4.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, Irvin is a player WVU has been after for awhile now and has visited Morgantown multiple times. He recently publicized his top 6 schools and included West Virginia.

The Upper Marlboro, Maryland native also placed Boston College, Charlotte, Marshall, Maryland and Virginia Tech on his current list of schools.

Interesting enough, Irvin tweeted this group of programs just a few days after putting out a cryptic tweet that alludes to WVU as his college home. A day before the NFL Draft kicked off, Irvin tweeted an image of a draft card that read him as a future number one overall pick with West Virginia, not any of the others, as his school.

That graphic may have been just a flippant tweet and may not mean anything, but he’s certainly showing a significant interest in West Virginia.

Irvin is regarded as a ballhawk type corner and even referred as simply an athlete position wise by some.
