2025 4-Star Derek Dixon Receives West Virginia Offer

Derek Dixon, a 2025 four-star prospect, received an offer from West Virginia on Wednesday night. Dixon currently plays at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C.

Dixon announced the offer on his social media accounts.

“Blessed to received an offer from West Virginia University,” he wrote.

Dixon, a 6-foot-3 combo guard, has received offers from Bryant, East Carolina, Fordham, George Mason, Iowa, Kansas State, Maryland, Norfolk State, Penn State, Pitt, Providence, Syracuse, Virginia, West Virginia, Xavier and others. Dixon has already visited Pitt and Syracuse during his recruitment so far. Dixon’s official visit to Syracuse was on Oct. 2.

As a freshman at Gonzaga College HS, Dixon appeared in 22 games, averaging 3.9 points. Dixon is heading into his junior season for the Eagles.

Last week, WVU’s staff offered four-star F Christopher Washington Jr. and 7-foot prospect Chol Machot. Washington is a four-star forward from Florida with Power-5 interest. Machot is a three-star recruit from Winston Salem, Nc. with offers from Cal, Mississippi State, Missouri, Seton Hall, TCU, VCU, West Virginia and others.
