2026 4-Star OL Adds WVU Football Offer to Budding List
Recruiting a strong 2025 class is the main focus, but that doesn’t mean the WVU football staff doesn’t also have their eyes on what’s to come in 2026. And as far as 2026 prospects, Johnnie “DJ” Jones is considered one of the top offensive lineman.
West Virginia sent Jones an offer on Wednesday, which he then announced as his 11th Division I offer. Jones (6-foot-7, 305 pounds) has already been awarded four stars from multiple major recruiting outlets.

The Berkley Prep product out of Bradenton, Fla. is considered a a four-star by On3 Sports and 247 Sports, who rank Jones as their No. 24 Florida player and No. 131 nationally. 247 does dispute Jones’ height and weight, saying he’s 6-foot-6 and only 260 pounds.
As far as Jones’ offers, Boston College, Eastern Kentucky, FAU, Florida, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tulsa, UCF and USF have also shown interest. Jones even received an offer from Penn State on April 17, his other most recent offer before this one from West Virginia.
