4-Star Pennsylvania Wide Receiver Kevin Thomas Includes WVU in Top 5

It’s coming down to the wire for 4-star wide receiver Kevin Thomas’s recruiting process, and West Virginia continues to remain directly in his plans.

Thomas (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) has narrowed down his previously announced Top 10 to just five teams: WVU, Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska and Texas A&M. Arizona State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Maryland and Cincinnati have officially been ruled out of the chase for the talented wideout.

It appears that Thomas’s decision is coming down to either WVU or Michigan State in the coming days and weeks. Michigan State held the edge entering Wednesday, but after announcing his Top 5, both 247Sports and Rivals project him to land with the Mountaineers.

Thomas is the 479th-ranked recruit in the cycle according to 247, ranking as the 66th wide receiver and 13th recruit from Pennsylvania. According to Rivals, he is the 36th-ranked wide receiver and the seventh-ranked player from Pennsylvania — the first-ranked wide receiver.

A decision date still isn’t announced yet, but it can be expected that he will decide before the start of his senior season at Neumann-Goretti High School in the fall.
