WVU Football Recruiting
4-Star Indiana Wide Receiver Omar Cooper, Jr. Picks Indiana over West Virginia
2022 4-star wide receiver Omar Cooper, Jr. picked Indiana over West Virginia Wednesday afternoon, announcing his college commitment via Twitter.
The loss of Cooper (6-foot-1, 170 pounds) is a disappointing blow for WVU after winding up as one of the finalists to land his commitment. Instead, Cooper will move from Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis to Bloomington.

Despite missing out on Cooper, WVU does have options to pursue. 3-star Alabama wide receiver Jarel Williams has already committed to WVU, and there are a few talented wide receiver recruits who have shown interest in WVU.
4-star Pennsylvania wide receiver Kevin Thomas and 3-star Florida wide receiver Shawn Miller both have named WVU among their finalists. Thomas’s Top 10 and Miller’s Top 5 featured WVU. Although, Rivals projects Miller to Illinois, and 247Sports projects Miller to Michigan State.
