Bob Huggins Reacts to Ejection During Kansas Game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Following getting tossed at the beginning of the game, WVU head coach Bob Huggins took the podium to talk about what happened between him and official Doug Sirmons.

“I’m going to stand up for my guys. I have never not stood up for my guys,” Huggins said. “It is what it is.”

Sirmons threw Huggins out after showing his displeasure about Taz Sherman getting called with a technical. Sherman earned the technical after complaining about a no-call.

Kansas head coach Bill Self was asked about his perspective on the situation.

“We caught a big break there,” Self said. “It’s not the break we wanted.”

This was the first game that Huggins has been thrown out of this season.
