Breaking: 2025 4-Star G Kelvin Odih Commits to West Virginia
West Virginia picked up its second commitment in the class of 2025 from four-star guard Kelvin Odih. Odih is a senior at SoCal Academy who visited WVU in late August.
“Everything was great. I really enjoyed my time over there. The coaching staff was very welcoming,” Odih said at the time to WV Sports Now.
Odih picked West Virginia over Louisville and Rutgers. During his visit, Odih took a liking to the coaching staff.
“Coach DeVries, I really like him. Very nice guy. He kept it real with me. He never promised me anything, or sugarcoated anything to me. That’s something I very much respect about him.”
‘Everything Was Great’: 4-Star Kelvin Odih Recaps West Virginia Visit
Odih, a top-80 prospect, got the chance to meet former WVU and current New York Knicks guard Deuce McBride during his trip in Morgantown.
McBride, of course, had to pitch West Virginia to the high school senior.
“Deuce was telling me about his experience at West Virginia and that if I were to come here, I would meet people who would become life-long friends,” Odih said. “That people take care of people that come here. It’s a big family state. They all take care of each other.”

Odih most recently completed a visit to Rutgers.
