West Virginia University added one former Spring Valley High standout to its football program on Christmas when Virginia Tech’s Doug Nester announced he plans to transfer to WVU, but could another Timberwolf soon be on his way to Morgantown?

That possibility is on the table when it comes to Spring Valley junior tight end Corbin Page, who tweeted on Friday that he would commit to a college team on Saturday.

The Mountaineers are one of the teams with scholarship offers out to the 247Sports three-star tight end. Joining WVU in the hunt for Page’s services are Oregon, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Duke, Cincinnati, Marshall, Louisville and Indiana among others.

Page, listed at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, helped lead Spring Valley to a win in one of the games of the year when the Timberwovles knocked off Martinsburg to end the Bulldogs’ four-year winning streak early in the season before SV eventually was forced out of the Class AAA state playoffs in the quarterfinal round via COVID map forfeit.
