WVU Loses a DT to the Transfer Portal, Reportedly Contacts Another
Wednesday was relatively busy for West Virginia in the transfer portal. According to reports, the Mountaineers lost defensive tackle Quay Mays to the portal and also extended an offer to former Iowa State Cyclone Latrell Bankston.
Rivals reported yesterday that Mays, a transfer from junior college this season, entered his name into the portal after just one season at WVU. Also yesterday, Bankston announced in a since-deleted tweet that WVU had extended him a scholarship offer.

Bankston (6-foot, 301 pounds) joined Iowa State this season by way of Hutchinson Community College. He had 16 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks for the Cyclones this year.
