Former Mountaineer LB Who Departed During 2023 Season Finds New Team
Former Mountaineer and top recruit Lance Dixon has found a new college home. The jettisoned WVU linebacker recently committed to Toledo and is already showing up on their roster.

Dixon, who officially entered the transfer portal in December after leaving the Mountaineers a month earlier, never returned to the team after being suspended in the middle of the 2023 season. He finished the season with 14 total tackles and one for a loss.
After starting his career at Penn State, the Oak Park, Michigan native transferred to West Virginia after the 2020 COVID-19 season. He recorded 72 tackles with 47 being created as solo in three seasons as a Mountaineer.
