Former West Virginia punter Oliver Straw may not be finished with college football just yet.

Even after the recent ruling granting the NCAA a stay and threatening the recently eligible 2022 players, Straw says he has a personal path forward no matter what.

“I am officially entering the transfer portal. I have a Temporary Restraining Order granted by a Judge in West Virginia against the NCAA,” he revealed on X (formerly Twitter) Friday evening.

Straw punted in 49 games for WVU during his career, averaging 42.8 yards per kick. He created 69 fair catches and placed 67 boots inside opponents’ 20-yard line.

Colorado State transfer Bryan Hansen is in line to punt for WVU in 2026.
