Injury Update: CB Jake Long has been medically cleared

Morgantown, WV – Big news yesterday as redshirt junior cornerback Jake Long announced on social media that he has been medically cleared to practice.

These last 6 months have been tough both mentally and physically, going through the recovery process post surgery is something that is hard for any athlete to go through. With the help of the lord, my family and staff at WVU i got through it. I AM CLEARED TO PLAY AGAIN 😍😍

Long has dealt with a couple of injuries since arriving on campus, which has unfortunately cost him two full seasons. He tore up his knee his freshman year and was forced to redshirt. Prior to the 2018 season he broke his wrist causing him to yet again, miss the entire season.

The cornerback position was pretty thin a year ago, so hopefully Long will be able to stay healthy and add depth to that position group.
