Look: Iowa State Transfer Caleb Grill in WVU Gold and Blue

Iowa State transfer Caleb Grill completed his visit to West Virginia on Tuesday, posting a picture of him wearing the West Virginia gold and blue for the first time.

Grill (6-foot-3) averaged 9.5 points and 4.0 rebounds through 25 games for the Cyclones this past season. The Maize, KS native shot 37 percent from three, having eight-made threes against Texas Tech and seven made against North Carolina. The senior guard has had eight games of five or more threes in a single game during his career. Grill left Iowa State’s program to due personal reasons in early March. Grill did state on social media that he needs to improve his mental health. Grill becomes the third transfer portal player to visit West Virginia in the last month.
Against West Virginia this past season, Grill recorded 13 points and 10 rebounds in Morgantown.
The Iowa State transfer visited Missouri before his trip to Morgantown this past weekend.
West Virginia has received commitments from Jesse Edwards (C – Syracuse), Kerr Kriisa (G – Arizona), Jose Perez (G – Manhattan) and Omar Silverio (G – Manhattan) during the transfer portal period. Grill has not announced when he’ll make his commitment.
