Mountaineers in the NFL: Week 5 Review

Nine former WVU standouts saw playing time in NFL games this week. Here is a rundown of all the ex-Mountaineers currently on professional rosters and how they did this week:

Buffalo Bills (Titans 42, Bills 16)
Quinton Spain – OG – 6th season – Was placed on the inactive list due to a foot injury before Tuesday night’s game.

Carolina Panthers (Panthers 23, Falcons 16)
Rasul Douglas – CB – 4th season – Started at cornerback and recorded eight tackles and six solo stops. Saw action on all 65 defensive plays and four special teams snaps. Douglas broke up a pass while playing every single snap in the Panthers’ win over the Falcons.

Will Grier – QB – 2nd season – Active, but did not play.

Cleveland Browns (Browns 32, Colts 23)
Karl Joseph – S – 5th season – Not active

Dallas Cowboys (Cowboys 37, Giants 34)
Daryl Worley – CB – 5th season – Started at cornerback and saw action on 51 defensive plays, while also recording playing time on eight special teams snap.

Indianapolis Colts (Browns 32, Colts 23)
Mark Glowinski – OG – 6th season – Started at right guard and saw action on all 56 offensive plays, while also recording playing time on five special teams snaps.

Las Vegas Raiders (Raiders 40, Chiefs 32)
Nick Kwiatkoski – LB – 5th season – Started at middle linebacker and recorded two solo tackles. He saw action on 46 defensive plays and five special teams snaps.

Los Angeles Chargers (Saints 30, Chargers 27)
Kyzir White – LB – 3rd season – Started at linebacker for the chargers on Monday night football. He recorded 15 total tackles, with 10 being solo stops. He saw action on all 74 defensive plays while also recording playing time on three special teams snaps.

Miami Dolphins (Dolphins 43, 49ers 17)
Adam Pankey – OT – 4th season – Pankey made his 2020 debut in a win over the 49ers. He saw action on 18 offensive plays at guard and tackle.

New England Patriots (Bye week)
Yodny Cajuste – OT – 2nd season – Bye week

New York Jets (Cardinals 30, Jets 10)
Trevon Wesco – TE – 2nd season – Saw action on 16 offensive plays, while also recording playing time on five special teams snaps. He also caught a pass for five yards.

San Francisco 49ers (Dolphins 43, 49ers 17)
Colton McKivitz – OT – 1st season – Saw action on three special teams snaps.

Seattle Seahawks (Seahawks 27, Vikings 26)
Bruce Irvin – LB – 9th season – He tore his ACL in week 2 against the Patriots and was placed on the injured reserve list by the Seahawks.

Geno Smith – QB – 8th season – Active, but did not play.

Tennessee Titans (Titans 42, Bills 16)
David Long Jr. – LB – 2nd season – He recorded a season-high four total tackles, with two being solo stops in the Titans win over the Bills on Tuesday. He saw action on 7 defensive plays while also recording playing time on 10 special teams snaps.
