Nate Flower’s Rocket Leg is Back, Ready for More Kickoffs | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2026 WVU Football Roster.
Redshirt junior kicker Nate Flower, listed at 6-foot-2 and 184 pounds, is a West Virginia native who grew up barely half an hour from WVU’s campus. He attended Fairmont Senior High and played at both kicker and punter. He also led the Polar Bears to a pair of state championships on the soccer pitch.
Flower saw the most action of his three years as a Mountaineer in 2025, handling kickoff duties in six games. Prior to that, he kicked off against Albany in 2024 and redshirted throughout the 2023 season.

Last year: Flower handled the kickoff duties in six games.
Stats: Flower saw action against Robert Morris in game one and earned the starting duties from the TCU game throughout the reminder of the season. He registered 309 yards on five kickoffs with two touchbacks against Colorado. Flower also tallied a season-high six touchbacks with 514 yards on eight kickoffs at Houston and collected 191 yards and two touchbacks on three kickoffs against TCU.
Camp outlook: Flower was part of the kicker competition during spring ball.
Projected role: Expect Flower to have a shot at at least kicking off in more games in 2026.
Accolades, highlights: Flower made all 29 of his extra point attempts as a senior at Fairmont. He also recorded an 84 yard kickoff during kicking exposition in high school, outcompeting even the college starters in doing so.
