As the Mountaineers prepare for their postseason opportunity and upcoming bowl game, the Pride of West Virginia band looks to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as their bowl game.

On Tuesday, WVU’s band took off for New York City to be part of the 2024 parade that’s synonymous with the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Pride of West Virginia band will join 22 balloons, 34 floats, 28 performers, 11 performance groups, and 28 clown crews to march along a 2.5-mile parade route from Central Park West to Macy’s Herald Square on Thursday morning.

This will mark the second time WVU’s band earned a chance to march in the parade, last taking part in 2016.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will start at 8:30 am and West Virginia fans and alumni can try to look out for the Pride of West Virginia by watching on NBC and Peacock.
