As Tennessee transfer Olivier Nkamhoua is making his way through his recruitment, the senior forward has scheduled another visit for this week. Joe Tipton of On3 reported on Sunday afternoon that Nkamhoua was on a visit to Kansas State. Nkamhoua just completed his visit to West Virginia over the weekend and has a trip to Michigan planned for next weekend.

Nkamhoua’s visit to WVU “went well,” sources told WV Sports Now. Nkhamoua had dinner with the entire coaching staff and toured the basketball facilities. Nkamhoua is looking for a winning team and is currently viewing all of his options.

The forward from Tennessee entered the transfer portal in late March but tested the NBA draft waters for a few weeks. Nkamhoua participated in the NBA G-League combine, but has expressed interest in returning to school for his extra COVID year that was granted to him back in the 2020-21 season.

Michigan was linked with Nkamhoua for a long time before WVU started making contact with him last month. WVU’s coaching staff scheduled the visit to Morgantown and then Juwan Howard and his staff finalized the Michigan visit for June 2.

Nkamhoua is regarded as a top-40 transfer portal recruit, according to EvanMiya. West Virginia is still currently trying to add to their five additions so far in the portal.

Nkamhoua helped get Tennessee to the Sweet-16 this past March. Nkamhoua played his best basketball against Duke in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, recording 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting. Nkamhoua averaged 10.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists through 36 games. WVU’s coaching staff has made Nkamhoua’s recruitment a top priority. The coaching staff believes that adding Nkamhoua to the current roster can lift WVU into Big 12 contention talks next season.
