In last season’s Big East/Big 12 Battle, the Mountaineers suffered their first loss of the season against St. John’s in Madison Square Garden. Georgetown defeated Oklahoma State 81-74 in its Big East/Big 12 Battle game last season. Georgetown finished last season with a 15-17 record, 5-13 in the Big East.
