MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Following a 70-64 win over TCU, WVU senior guard Sean McNeil addressed his future as a Mountaineer and is unsure whether or not he will return. McNeil walked on senior day but has the option to return for a fifth-year next season.

“I don’t know, we’ll see how the summer goes,” McNeil said. “I honestly couldn’t tell you.”

McNeil has spent three seasons at West Virginia from 2019-21. The Union, KY, native has scored 876 points in 87 career games for the Mountaineers. McNeil was a key piece to the 2021 NCAA Tournament team that earned a 3-seed, advancing to the round of 32. McNeil is averaging 11.9 points during his senior campaign.

McNeil’s senior season isn’t over just yet, but he could’ve played his final game inside the WVU Coliseum on Saturday.
